  1. Source: Authors’ calculation based on EPH data. Note 1: the sample includes all inactive women between 20 and 60 years old who are the spouse or the head of their households. The treatment group is composed of inactive women with children under age 18 who live in poor (first four deciles of the household per capita income distribution) and informal households (neither the woman nor her spouse is registered in the national social security system) while the control group includes the rest of the inactive women in our sample who do not meet all the conditions to be eligible. Before AUH: 2005–2009. After AUH: 2010–2013. Note 2: Married women refers both to legally married women and women in consensual unions
